About ME

Hi, I'm Sade

Experience you can trust. Care you can feel

I began my journey working in the NHS as a health care assistant whilst studying my BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy, where I quickly realised how much I valued direct patient care. Colleagues frequently encouraged me to consider becoming a Nurse, so I embarked on MSc as a way to grow professionally, find stability, and, most importantly, to serve others.

In 2020, I learned about the tragic death of Nicole Thea (YouTube Influencer) and discovered that Black women in the UK, (at the time) five times more likely to die in childbirth than white women. This shocking reality motivated me to pursue Midwifery and become an advocate for women facing inequalities in maternity care.

During my training, I noticed gaps in clinical care and witnessed the poor treatment of both students and staff, which initially led me back to nursing. Having experienced maternity care first hand, with the birth of my own child, I gained a new perspective on the areas where support could be strengthened and where compassionate care could make a real difference.

I started this practice after witnessing many families navigate pregnancy and the postpartum period with unanswered questions and missing support.

In my clinical experience, I know that care isn’t just about expertise, it’s about how you make people feel. My approach is intuitive, clinically sound, and spiritually grounded, ensuring every individual feels seen, heard, and cared for.

These experiences inspired me to open my own practice, where my mission is to provide high-quality, empathetic care, that fills the gaps I’ve seen in traditional services. I aim to support women and families in my community, creating positive, empowering experiences for everyone under my care.

I listen. I adjust. I stay.

Why I Do This Work

Circle of Isokan is rooted in the Yoruba word Isokan, which means unity, peace, and togetherness. That is what I want every family to feel; like someone is with them, fully.

This practice is also a response to the inequalities many families, especially families in ethnic minority communities who are too often underserved in maternity care. I am offering care because of what it is missing.

Rooted in Care

My Philosophy

Birth is not just clinical, it is a physical, emotional and spiritual experience that I honour and respect. There is no universal solution I will be providing care that is tailored to who you are, how you feel and what you need.

As a registrant with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), I am professionally accountable for the standards of my practice. My work is grounded not only in care and compassion, but also in clear ethical, professional, and regulatory responsibilities. Being NMC-registered holds me to nationally recognised standards of safety, integrity, and evidence-based practice, ensuring that the families I support can trust the care they receive. Accountability is not separate from my values; it is part of how I honour the trust placed in me and uphold the quality of care every family deserves.

“The wisdom and compassion a woman can intuitively experience in childbirth can make her a source of healing and understanding for other women.”
